His Excellency Mr. Mutsuo Mabuchi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Moldova, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Mr. Anatolie Gorodenco, have signed today the Exchange of Notes concerning the extension of the Japanese Grant Aid for the Project for improvement of equipment for the National Training Center for Agricultural Mechanization.
The minister Anatolie Gorodenco has expressed gratitude towards the Government of Japan and the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Moldova for the given support in promoting the Project for improvement of equipment for the National Training Center for Agricultural Mechanization. The Center will allow to train the personnel from agriculture, including their familiarization with modern technique and serve as practice center for the students from Mechanization Department within the Agrarian State University from Moldova, has pointed out His Excellency.
The Government of Japan has been providing grant assistance to Moldova for the increase of agricultural production since 2000 through the 2KR Project. Using the funds provided by the Government of Japan and those generated from the activities of the 2 KR Project a total of more than 2800 pieces of agricultural machinery has been acquired and supplied to Moldovan farmers so far.
