The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Mr. Anatolie Gorodenco, had a meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Mr. John Beyer, regarding the support Great Britain is to offer in Moldavian agricultural goods exports extending on the European Union market.
Mr. Anatolie Gorodenco reflected the current situation from the agricultural complex and the priorities established according to market conjuncture, pointing out land consolidation, export and market diversification, modern technologies implementation, fruit and vegetable growing plantations revitalization, cultivation of new high productive sorts, legislation harmonization, assurance of agricultural sector durability.
The Minister Anatolie Gorodenco expressed firmly his position regarding agricultural goods exports extending on the Western market, stating that the modest success recorded at fruit, honey, wines exports on the European Union market cannot compensate the losses obtained as a result of the Eastern embargoes. His Excellency underlined the advantages which the autonomous preferential regime presents, within diversification markets extending.
The project started with the support of Great Britain has as a major objective agricultural goods exports extending on the European Union market, specified the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain, Mr. John Beyer. The collaborating directions with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry will be centered especially on eggs exports facilitating, fitosanitarian regulations conforming to communitarian standards, monitoring of legislation harmonization by foreign experts from the countries which are already European Union members.
